Ukraine President Urges Russian Citizens to Oppose War as Invasion Warnings Mount

KYIV, Ukraine—Ukraine shifted to a war footing, declaring a condition of crisis, commencing to mobilize reservists and calling on its citizens to go away Russia instantly in the midst of warnings of an imminent entire-scale invasion.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said he attempted to get in touch with Russian President Vladimir Putin but was unable to converse to him. As an alternative, the Ukrainian leader produced a video address in Russian in which he urged Russian citizens to oppose the war, which he claimed would guide to the fatalities of tens of thousands. He explained that Ukraine posed no menace to Russia.
