A particular person was killed following some unknown individuals opened fireplace at AAP MLA Naresh Yadav’s convoy in southwest Delhi’s Kishangarh village on late Tuesday night, police said.
The freshly-elected MLA along with his supporters was returning residence following spending obeisance at a temple in his constituency, the police said.
According to sources, 7 rounds were fired at the Mehrauli MLA’s convoy.
The Delhi Police on Wednesday registered an FIR in connection with the firing incident. Delhi Police said that investigation is on and operating “on all angles” to come across out the motive powering firing the pictures at Naresh Yadav’s convoy.
One particular volunteer Ashok Mann was killed though a different volunteer Harender was wounded when pictures were fired at Aam Aadmi Get together MLA Naresh Yadav’s convoy here on Tuesday night.
In a tweet, Aam Aadmi Get together (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh claimed bash volunteer Ashok Mann was killed in the assault.
“Convoy of MLA Naresh Yadav attacked in Mehrauli, Ashok Mann killed. Naresh Yadav was returning residence following going to a temple,” Singh said in a tweet in Hindi.
“Pictures fired at AAP MLA @MLA_NareshYada and the volunteers accompanying him though they were on way back from temple. At least a single volunteer has handed absent thanks to bullet wounds. One more is wounded,” the AAP said in a tweet.
Ankit Lal, AAP’s social media in-charge tweeted: “Several pictures were fired at AAP MLA @MLA_NareshYadav & @AamAadmiParty volunteers accompanying him to his residence in Mehrauli following going to a temple as portion of victory procession. Miscreants in a different vehicle opened fireplace in close proximity to Fortis. one useless and one wounded. Police is at the location.
“The incident is truly regrettable. I do not know the reason powering the assault but it occurred all of a unexpected. Close to 4 rounds were fired. The motor vehicle I was in was attacked. I am positive if Police inquires adequately, they will be in a position to identify the assailant,” Naresh Yadav, AAP MLA experienced said.
“Two individuals were shot in which Ashok Man Ji has died and Harender Ji was wounded. I do not know whether or not they attacked me in particular but they definitely qualified our convoy. Anybody could have been shot in this assault,” he included confirming the progress.
