MARKET LIVE: Sensex falls 300 points, Nifty below 8,900; Wipro slips 3%

Indian stocks dipped on Thursday immediately after tracking the weak spot in world-wide markets.

Amongst headline indices, the S&P BSE Sensex fell 320 points, or 1 for every cent, to 30,050 ranges and the Nifty50 index was down 100 points to eight,830 ranges. Wipro fell as considerably as three for every cent after posting muted growth in its income and earnings numbers for the fourth quarter of the last monetary 12 months. In the Sensex pack, Axis Financial institution, Titan, Tech Mahindra, and Hero MotoCorp have been the best losers.

All the Nifty sectoral indices have been in the red, led by Nifty IT index, down more than two for every cent.

The broader market place fared comparatively far better. The S&P BSE MidCap index was flat even though the S&P BSE SmallCap index was up .two for every cent.
