Govt targets 17 million tonnes mustard production by 2025-26

The Government strategies to deliver around nine million hectares of land under mustard cultivation and elevate the manufacturing to around 17 million tonnes (mt) by 2025-26, in accordance to Shubha Thakur, Joint Secretary (Oilseeds), Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare.

Speaking at a webinar on ‘Mission Mustard 2025’, organised by Solvent Extractors’ Affiliation (SEA) of India on Friday, she claimed that the ordinary standard region for five yrs from 2014-15 to 2018-19 was five.nine million hectares and the manufacturing was around 7.7 mt.

Stating that the Government is setting an ambitious focus on for 2025-26, she claimed going by the accomplishment in the previous, the region is expected to maximize to around nine million hectares and manufacturing to around 17 mt.
